Reading + Writing: The Connection That Transforms Literacy Instruction
In this 90-minute interactive workshop, we’ll unpack how the connection between reading and writing can make literacy instruction both more effective for students and more efficient for teachers. While many teachers already understand this connection, students often don’t see it—or know how to use it to their advantage. When we clarify the purpose and tighten our language, students begin to recognize the benefits and engage more deeply.
You’ll learn:
- A step-by-step routine for using spelling to improve decoding
- A clear structure for writing about reading to strengthen comprehension and composition
- A practical approach for using mentor texts to elevate writing craft
Bonus: Your registration includes Leah’s full Mentor Text Bundle so you can apply what you learn right away.
