Co-Teaching with Purpose: Build Your Co-Teaching Toolkit

Strong co-teaching requires both effective classroom practices and intentional leadership support. This 1-day virtual learning experience offers two distinct 3-hour sessions designed to meet the needs of both co-teaching partners and the leaders who support them.

Participants may choose to attend the morning session for classroom co-teaching teams or the afternoon session for leaders, depending on their role. Each session is tailored to a specific audience while grounded in the same core principles: using the 5 co-teaching models strategically, integrating Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) with purpose, and addressing common challenges that impact implementation.

The morning session focuses on strengthening collaboration, clarifying roles, and applying the co-teaching models in ways that increase student engagement, access, and achievement. The afternoon session shifts to a leadership lens, equipping administrators and coaches with tools, look-fors, and coaching strategies to support consistent and effective co-teaching across classrooms.

Whether attending as a teacher or a leader, participants will leave with practical strategies, clear next steps, and tools to make co-teaching more intentional, aligned, and impactful.
