2026 Fall PLC Virtual Institute
When adults collaborate with purpose, students experience the difference.
Discover the power of purposeful collaboration at the 2026 FIRST Education Fall Virtual PLC Institute.
Every student deserves educators who believe in their potential, respond to their needs, and continually work together to improve the learning experience. But creating those conditions requires more than simply meeting as a team. It requires collaborative teams that are clear about their purpose, willing to learn from one another, and committed to turning their conversations into action.
Featuring Adam Welcome as our opening keynote, this year’s institute will challenge educators to consider what all kids deserve from the adults who serve them and how Professional Learning Communities can help make those commitments a reality.
Whether you are beginning your PLC journey or looking to recalibrate established teams, the Fall Virtual PLC Institute will provide practical tools, strategies, and ideas for making collaboration more purposeful, efficient, and impactful. Sessions will help educators move beyond meetings and routines to create collaborative cultures where teams examine evidence of learning, respond intentionally to student needs, strengthen collective efficacy, and continually evaluate their impact.
Leading with Adam Welcome and hosted by the FIRST Education Team, the institute will provide participants with practical strategies they can immediately bring back to their schools and collaborative teams.
Explore these key topics to develop effective collaboration and impactful results:
- Building a Culture of Learning: Establish the structures, norms, and practices that foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
- Data-Driven Discussions & Results: Harness data to inform discussions, set goals, and track progress toward meaningful outcomes.
- Making PLCs Work for Singletons: Discover strategies that empower single-subject teachers to participate fully in the PLC process.
- Developing Collective Teacher Efficacy Within PLCs: Strengthen team trust and impact, cultivating a shared belief in the ability to improve student learning.
- Navigating Conflict in PLCs: Develop skills to address and resolve conflict constructively, keeping teams focused on shared objectives.
- Leading Effective PLCs: Gain strategies for leading with vision, ensuring PLCs are purposeful, sustainable, and results-oriented.
Join educators from across the country for a day designed to inspire, challenge, and equip collaborative teams to continually ask:
Are our actions creating the experience and outcomes our students deserve?
